OVERVIEW

It introduces how to get the design force of 1D members including Location of design forces, 1D Design with an irregular shape force and How to find Max. My.

1. Location of Design Member Forces

The locations where basic design member forces are measured are illustrated. It is effective only when a uniform load is applied, but in most cases, accurate design is possible with the following method.

1) 0.00L, 0.25L, 0.50L, 0.75L, and 1.00L

2) Location of concentrated load

3) The position contact with other members

2. 1D Design when the diagram of member force is not normal

It is difficult to predict the location of Max. My if an atypical load such as the image on the left acts.

Since Max. My value cannot be found under the following conditions, an incorrect design can be performed.

1) 0.00L, 0.25L, 0.50L, 0.75L, and 1.00L

2) Location of concentrated load

3) The position contact with other members

3. How to Find Max. My

1) Select a material type.

2) Select a member type.

3) Select target members.

4) Modify No. of checkpoints in each region.

5) Click "V" button.

> The larger number of checkpoints, the more accurate value can be obtained.
