Gen Feature High-rise

midas Gen is an essential program for large-scale construction projects such as skyscrapers.
midas Gen has been used for a variety of world monumental structures projects such as Burj Khalifa (162 stories, 828m high), the world’s tallest building in the world, and Jeddah Tower (168 stories high, 1000m high) in Saudi Arabia, which is currently under construction.

High-rise Analysis

Midas Gen provides Construction Stage Analysis feature, which reflects the time dependent material properties. Change in material properties are reflected while simulating construction stage with respect to the change in geometry, boundary conditions and loads relative to time.In addition, it supports the design considering the influence of the upper structure due to the deformation of the ground.

Construction Sequence

midas Gen supports step-by-step analysis in consideration of the existence of formwork/concrete curing period according to the construction stage.

Soil-Structure Interaction

By linking the pile&soil support data to Midas GTS NX, it supports the analysis of structures considering the nonlinear properties of the ground.

Column Shortening

Midas Gen provide 3-D Column Shortening Analysis reflecting change in modulus, creep and shrinkage. Appropriate compensation value amount of reinforcing rebars and t is determined by calculating the additional stress according to the difference in the shortening of vertical members. midas Gen helps to ensure the usability and structural stability of buildings.

Time Dependent Material

Reinforced concrete with orthogonal as well as nonorthogonal structure can be designed considering the wood armer moment and unbalanced moment.

Column Shortening Graph

It is capable of flexural and shear design for meshed slab/mat for in-plane stress of mashed slab/mat, out-of-plane of meshed wall, and in and out-of-plane of meshed shell.

Heat of Hydration Analysis

Midas Gen provides heat of hydration analysis capabilities through heat transfer and heat stress analyses. Heat of hydration analysis by construction stages reflects the change in modulus of elasticity due to maturity, effects of creep/shrinkage ,pipe cooling and concrete pour sequence.

Heat Transfer & Heat Stress Analysis

The heat of hydration of the concrete structure over time is calculated, and the stress of the concrete according to the heat of hydration can be analyzed to determine the crack of the structure.

Stresses and Temperature History Graphs

The heat of hydration analysis result can be output as a graph for the generated stress, allowable stress, temperature, and crack index of a specific part.
